Lawrence E. Gelber, M.D.
Lawrence E. Gelber, M.D. received a BA in biological science at Indiana University and a BS in biology at Fairleigh Dickinson University. He attended medical school at the University of Modena School of Medicine and Surgery and the Center for Technological Studies, School of Medicine. He completed residencies in pediatrics and neonatology at the Medical Center of Delaware where he served as a chief resident. He was a research assistant in internal medicine and allergy and immunology at the University of Virginia. He then completed a fellowship in allergy and clinical immunology at UVa.
Robert S. Call, M.D.
Robert S. Call, M.D. received his allergy training at the University of Virginia and remained on staff as an Instructor in Medicine for 2 years teaching and researching Asthma before moving to Richmond. Prior to his fellowship in Allergy, he did his Internal Medicine training at Michigan State University, Grand Rapids Campus. He is a Graduate of University of Virginia's Medical School and School of Arts and Sciences where he received an MD and a BA in Biology.
William T. Hark, M.D.
William T. Hark, M.D. received a BA in biology at the University of Virginia. He then attended medical school and completed a residency in internal medicine at the Medical College of Virginia (Virginia Commonwealth University) in Richmond. Dr. Hark returned to the University of Virginia for his allergy and clinical immunology fellowship. Dr. Hark has done research with NASA as a part of their Space Life Sciences Training Program (SLSTP) in addition to research involving allergies and respiratory physiology at the University of Virginia.
Margaret Hollister Sigman, M.D.
Margaret Hollister Sigman, M.D. is a Richmond native graduating as valedictorian from Longwood University. She then attended medical school at the Medical College of Virginia (Virginia Commonwealth University) in Richmond and completed a residency in pediatrics and fellowship in allergy and immunology at Louisiana State University Health in Shreveport, LA. Dr. Sigman is a Board Certified Pediatrician and Allergist/Immunologist. She has previously practiced at Cornerstone Pediatrics at Premier in High Point, NC. She is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.
Francis Stanford Massie, Sr., M.D.
Francis Stanford Massie, Sr., M.D. attended Duke University as an undergraduate and for medical school. His pediatric internship was completed at Duke University. He trained in pediatrics and allergy at the University of California at San Francisco Medical Center where he was a chief resident. Dr. Massie served two years in the U.S. Naval Hospital at Camp Pendleton. He was recruited to VCU/MCV and from 1967-1977 he taught general pediatrics as a fulltime academician. He developed the first Board approved training program in pediatric allergy in Virginia. Twelve trainees completed the fellowship requirements and have practiced allergy in Virginia, Maryland, Ohio, North Carolina, Connecticut, Maine, Illinois and overseas in Thailand, Iran and the Philippines. The program is now under the direction of Drs. Anne-Marie Irani and Lawrence Schwartz and it is a National Institute of Health allergy and asthma center.
Deanna W. Tanner, PA-C
Deanna W. Tanner, PA-C received a BS in biology graduating Suma Cum Laude from Bridgewater College in Bridgewater, VA. Deanna was also a member of the Alpha Chi Honor Society. Deanna also received her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at Shenandoah University in Winchester, VA. Deanna was the Theresa Thomas Foundation scholarship recipient in 2005 & 2006. Deanna's training and experience includes working in a busy outpatient family medicine clinic for 3 years which involved all aspects of patient care including treatment of respiratory tract infections, allergies, asthma, gastrointestinal illnesses and COPD. Deanna's volunteer experience includes a medical mission trip to Nicaragua and working on the Nottoway County Emergency Squad. Deanna is a licensed Physician Assistant through the Virginia Board of Medicine and is NCCPA Certified. Deanna is also a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
David Kwang Moon, PA-C
David Kwang Moon, PA-C received a Bachelors of Social Work at James Madison University, VA and his Masters of Science in Health Science, Physician Assistant at The George Washington University, Washington, D.C. David is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and a member of the Virginia Academy of Physician Assistants. David's training and experience includes working at a busy family medicine practice over a year which involved all aspects of care including treatment of allergies, asthma and COPD. David is a licensed Physician Assistant through the Virginia Board of Medicine and is NCCPA certified. David lives in Richmond with his wife and two sons.
John B. Catlett, M.D.
John B. Catlett, M.D. was the founding member of Catlett Allergy Associates that became Richmond Allergy and Asthma Specialists on January 1, 2003. He retired from medical practice on July 1, 2001 and is now deceased. Drs. Gelber, Call and Hark are still benefiting from Dr. Catlett's wisdom and long experience in the field of allergy.
