Lawrence E. Gelber, M.D.
Lawrence E. Gelber, M.D. received a BA in biological science at Indiana University and a BS in biology at Fairleigh Dickinson University. He attended medical school at the University of Modena School of Medicine and Surgery and the Center for Technological Studies, School of Medicine. He completed residencies in pediatrics and neonatology at the Medical Center of Delaware where he served as a chief resident. He was a research assistant in internal medicine and allergy and immunology at the University of Virginia. He then completed a fellowship in allergy and clinical immunology at UVa.
William T. Hark, M.D.
William T. Hark, M.D. received a BA in biology at the University of Virginia. He then attended medical school and completed a residency in internal medicine at the Medical College of Virginia (Virginia Commonwealth University) in Richmond. Dr. Hark returned to the University of Virginia for his allergy and clinical immunology fellowship.
Jaimin H. Patel, DO
Jaimin H. Patel, DO earned his undergraduate degree in Biology at Virginia Tech and stayed in Blacksburg, VA for another 4 years to complete his medical degree at VCOM (Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine). He completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Lehigh Valley Health Network in Allentown, PA followed by an Allergy & Immunology fellowship at the University of Virginia.
Marc P. Breidenbaugh, M.D.
Marc P. Breidenbaugh, M.D. received a BS in biology graduating summa cum laude from the College of William and Mary. He attended medical school at the University of Virginia, where he also completed a residency in pediatrics. He then continued his medical training at UVa, completing a fellowship in allergy and immunology.
Deanna W. Tanner, PA-C
Deanna W. Tanner, PA-C received a BS in biology graduating Suma Cum Laude from Bridgewater College in Bridgewater, VA and her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at Shenandoah University in Winchester, VA. Deanna's training and experience includes working in a busy outpatient family medicine clinic for 3 years which involved all aspects of patient care including treatment of respiratory tract infections, allergies, asthma, gastrointestinal illnesses and COPD. Deanna's volunteer experience includes a medical mission trip to Nicaragua and working on the Nottoway County Emergency Squad.
David K. Moon, PA-C
David K. Moon, PA-C received a Bachelors of Social Work at James Madison University, VA and his Masters of Science in Health Science, Physician Assistant at The George Washington University, Washington, D.C. David is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and a member of the Virginia Academy of Physician Assistants.
Francis Stanford Massie, Sr., M.D.
Francis Stanford Massie, Sr., M.D. has left big shoes to fill since his passing in 2014. He trained in pediatrics and allergy at the University of California at San Francisco Medical Center where he was a chief resident. He was recruited to VCU/MCV and from 1967-1977 he taught general pediatrics as a fulltime academician. He developed the first Board-approved training program in pediatric allergy in Virginia. He was a clinical professor of pediatrics at MCV for over 25 years and was a co-founder of the Virginia Allergy and Asthma Society, serving as President twice. Our current providers are now benefiting from Dr. Massie’s impressive contributions to the field.
John B. Catlett, M.D.
John B. Catlett, M.D. was the founding member of Catlett Allergy Associates in 1955 which later became Richmond Allergy and Asthma Specialists on January 1, 2003. This nearly 70 year old practice has helped close to 100,000 Virginians successfully navigate their allergies. He retired from medical practice on July 1, 2001 and is now deceased. Drs. Gelber and Hark are still benefiting from Dr. Catlett's wisdom and long experience in the field of allergy.
